The 12/24 underwater acoustic modems and USBL transceivers with a directional (70 degrees) transducer beam pattern are depth-rated devices for long-range transmissions, providing data transfer rates up to 9.2 kbit/s over a 6000 m range.
The directional beam pattern is optimal for vertical and slant transfers to/from stationary systems.
Depth rating and operating frequency ensure great performance for long-range transmissions between the seafloor and the surface.
The applications include:
- Mid- and long-range operations in vertical or slant channels
- Underwater observatories
- Underwater acoustic sensor networks
12/24 models are available in the following product lines:
